Rose hasn't been acting right since about a couple weeks before she gave birth on the fifth of September. I took her temp. and it was 104.2. Before she gave birth she had the runs really bad but I assumed it was because I had changed her hay and started increasing grain intake all at once. Well after she gave birth it started progressively going back to being normal goat poop. Well a couple days ago it went back to being loose/runny. She also hasn't been wanting to eat her grain either. She'll eat a handful and then be done with it. I'm also afraid she isn't producing enough milk either. Last night I separated her from her baby for about 8 hours and she didn't bag up at all. Any one have thoughts on what this might be?

I dewormed her a month before giving birth( I think ). I'll try and see if I can get a fecal done.

De-worming done in early August has no real bearing on what's going on right now. It only takes 4 days for a worm bloom to occur.

I agree run a fecal.

I re took her temp. and it was 102.9. I think it was a bit high earlier because she was in the sun. I called the vet today but she didn't answer so I'll call tomorrow and see if she can run a few fecals for me.

when I take a temp on a goat I take them on a couple of goats to compare because goats temps can fluctuate due to outside temperatures.

Well I took it to the vet's and they found something but they don't know what. The goat vet wasn't their so the other vet said she was going to send it off to the lab and have them see what it is. She thinks it's some type of worm but she doesn't know exactly what.
