So this is the first year my son showed a goat at the 4H level....I gave him 5 steps to follow for a sucessful show. Now I will share them with you:

1. walk into the arena with the goat....

Try not to trip over you own feet and hold on to the goat....and remember to breathe.

2. meet your competition....

wow now that is a class...but you still have to breathe

3. glide her around the show arena, again without tripping or running over the judge...

sometimes easier said than done

4. try your best to "set her up"...remember to breathe....
490_152.jpg
...the breathing thing is the hardest

And
5. the exit, again without tripping and try to remember to take the goat with you....

...sometimes the exit is the hardest part if you forget the breathing part.

that's all there is to it....Once you leave the show arena bring her back to the stall and we will get her ready to go up against the other class winners.

and he listened...next lesson: How To Show a Lightweight Wether and Win

Thank you so much for this! I'm going to lease an oberhasli doe from my 4-H Leader, train it, and show it at a few fairs.....4-H is SO much fun!!!!!
