Previously someone had posted asking if chickens and goats did well together. I didn't want to usurp their thread, so I decided to post what I found last night when I went to close the doors.

Well there you have it!

We have chickens who live with the bucks. The chickens clean their fur out and snuggle with them to keep warm and the boys get a spa treatment everyday, everyone is happy.

We also have a duck who is roommates with our doe and her new twins. This duck (Mambo) was the only one who hatched from the incubator so he was raised in the house over the spring and FINALLY moved outside. He refuses to be friends with the other ducks and has made friends with our doe. At least he has someone now.

Awesome picture, I love it and can't wait to show DH!

I was really worried about putting the chickens with my goats, but as long as I keep the chicken feed out of reach of the goats, it's fine. (If I didn't there would never been any food for the chickens!). They share the same water too. Too bad my chickens don't give MY goats a spa treatment! Of course, could be because my goats like to play with the chickens ... butting them every possible chance.
