Great week at the state fair!!

The kids and their goats did great Friday and Saturday!

Billy and Fat Tony received Grand Champion Mkt in the Heavy Weights, he then went on to be Reserve Grand Champion. There was a lightweight goat that took Grand and he was a beautiful little thing. He was all muscle.

Becky and her Nubians took Grand Champion Junior Doe and Reserve Grand Champion Junior Doe!

The sad part is that Fat Tony will not be coming home . He will be auctioned off on Wednesday, and then most likely sent to food banks and/or homeless shelters. At least we still have Sammy the Sammich and knowing that Fat Tony will be helping others and he made my son so happy to be able to win such a hard competition as the State Fair.

The judge dearly loved Becky's little Nubian Does. We decided to let Becky try her hand at showing next week in the open class to see how well they will do. Keep your fingers crossed .

Congrats! Beauties they are. We went to the county fair last night (wow they are getting expensive, everything!!). Saw lots of goats I wanted, next year I guess.
