Just had to share this! Gave me such a laugh.
So, yesterday it was about 29 degrees out, and (of course), it was the day I went to Lowe's to get a boat load of cut xmas trees for a great deal to give the goats--we're talking several dozen. I know, my pre-planning can leave a bit to be desired sometimes. Oh well
Anyhow, we had two trucks, me and the kids were in one, and dad and my husband took the big truck. We were going back and forth, and twice I was there with just the kids to load trees.
So, the first time, this guy walks over to the truck, and says, "Excuse me, my wife and I were just wondering what you're going to do with those." I say, "Livestock feed." He says, "Oh, I was wrong then. I guessed you were making a fresh water habitat."
Second trip, when I was loading alone, another guy walks up, and asks, "Are you going to plant those?" I say, "No". He says, "What are you going to do with them?" I say, "Livestock feed."
I was too tired and cold to laugh out loud at them. And, my family and I had such a laugh when we caught up with each other, I wasn't even annoyed that neither of them would bother to take the time to walk over and watch and talk to me, and not offer to help! (Pet peeve of mine--if you're going to take the time to insert yourself into someone else's business like that, I think it's rude to not ask if you can help. JMHO, at least that's what we try to do and teach our kids to do.)
I couldn't believe those ideas were their first guess. Really? Fresh water habitat and am I going to plant them?
