Hello from Colorado

Hello! Im in southern Colorado, Fremont county. I've been a member of byc for a while, and I've lurked here for a bit so I figured it was time to join.
My family and I raise chickens, large fowl and bantams, pekin ducks, Flemish giant rabbits, turkeys, and we are getting our first goats next month.
I hope with joining I could perhaps take advantage of all the well experienced folks here to help along this new adventure as well as being able to share the ups and downs of animals with those who can relate.

Greetings from western Nebraska. My wife and I started our "herd" in much the same way you described. The only advice I can offer is build more goat pens than you think you will ever need because they are addictive!

Love the countryside in that part of the country but, I just couldn't take the cold weather. DH & I were in the area years back and in Jackson Hole, WY, it SNOWED on JULY 21......his b'day....we had summer clothes and went shopping!!!

Those few days of summer are gorgeous though. LOL
