Ridin' The Range
I found this site yesterday when doing a search for a medical question with our young llama. I did some reading, and decided to join.
Hubby and I have 3 grown kids, and 3 grandkids. We are lifelong small farmers - we have a farm on 25 acres in southern MN. Hubby and I both grew up on small farms as well. We both were in 4-H and FFA, and same for our kids.
Currently we have sheep, free range chickens, a geriatric pony, 2 llamas, 6 dogs (I train, teach classes and show dogs in a pretty major way - conformation, obedience, rally, herding, agility, weight pull, dog sledding, therapy dogs, back packing, and have done dog hunting training too in the past...yes, busy!), a cockatiel, 2 yard ponds with fish, and one cat.
I'm also a full time RN. In homecare now, but worked 20 yrs as a hospital nurse - in ortho/neuro/trauma.
We have had ducks, geese, peafowl, rabbits, goats, horses, pigs and a pot belly pig over the years!
This seems like a fun site - glad I stumbled across it!
My forum name is named after the lake behind our farm, and we use it in our stock and dog registries.
