Hello All!

I have been a member on backyard chickens for a year now.

this summer I moved from The Western NC mountains to Middle TN ... and started collected farm animals.

I have two horses, two donkeys, six goats, two chickens and I am about to get a Angora rabbit this weekend.

I get no better joy then making my morning and evening rounds to feed and care for my animals. I lived in FLA for 36 years and never had any experience with farm animals so I am learning alot by 'doing it'.

I love meeting new people, I love seeing everyones pictures and I love learning!

Hi! Welcome over to this side. :frow
You sound like me... starting to "collect" a farm. It is driving my family nuts but my hubby and I are happy.

We are doing good on the ice. I just make sure to change it every day and check twice a day.
If we lived further north I would be investing in the bucket warmers.

crazyland - where can I buy bucket warmers? I really need them, seems TN is freezing bad this year.

Royd Wood - well ... we do have wild boar out back, the local farmers kill a few a week. But, I do need some sheep and still trying to decide on beef or dairy cows (oh only one dairy). I'm not sure how commited i'd be to milking twice a day .. as I work 70 miles from home 5 days a week. But I want to start making cheese at some point.

What kinds of cows do you have Royd Wood ?
