Hello everyone. I'm so glad I knew you were here when I needed advice this morning about our new lamb, Daisy. She is sooo cute in her new little coat.
I'm a SAHHM with 3 kids and a wonderful husband that puts up with my hobby farming on our 5 acres. He builds fences & gates but drags his feet about buildings!
We have a Dexter heifer, SugarBelle, that was a surprise birth last summer. MommyBelle was bred too young & just generally ornery, so she went to freezer camp in January. We love having our own beef! We have a small flock of chickens that we hope to replace later this year with younger ladies & a gentleman to tend them. We have a wonderful border collie/black lab named Luke and a barn cat named John (we just need a Matthew and a Mark!). We have an indoor cat, Catnip, that is usually disgusted with us and likes to dump the water bowl that my daughter leaves on her cabinet. We have two pet rabbits, Scratches and Champ, that stink up my basement.
My oldest daughter isn't into the farm thing, but my younger daughter is a natural animal tender, and my son wants to be a farmer when he grows up (and isn't designing video games and Lego sets!) We all enjoy 4-wheeling and spending time with good friends.
