I am new to farming! Raised in the city, my husband and I have envisioned "country life" for a long time and we have a house in the country on 5 acres now. We had so much work to do on the house, that we could not start raising anything right off the bat, but I think this Spring we can at least start with some chickens, rabbits and some milking goats. (Maybe we won't get them all on the same day! 
) We are excited to have our own eggs, our own milk, and enjoy some good, honest hard work. We have a 6 year old son that loves our new place and he is looking forward to being raised a 4-H kid!
Since we are new at this, I will be looking for tips and advice on the best breeds for dairy goats, the best laying hens that can run around with the goats, etc.
