Hi everyone!
I am a small full time farmer on a small plot of land where I grow a garden full of veggies, have some fruits growing on the farm, a lot of different poultry that we eat eggs and meat from and just started into dairy goats.
My goal is to eat better and stay away from spending too much money.
If you would like to see more of my farm you can visit my website at www.westknollfarm.com BUT I warn you, it is full of tons of photos and pages upon pages of gorgeous poultry like bantam Cochin, peacocks, turkeys, ducks, guineas and goats. My LGDs are in there between other photos, too.
I hope to visit this community often and share with others and learn a lot!

It's nice to meet you. You are living my dreams. My husband and I are about to expand our operations onto a larger plot of land so that we can raise more animals. We already garden and have chickens in the backyard, but I really want to get back into meat goats, a cow for meat, rabbits, and a couple of pigs. I don't know that I really saved a ton of money when I had animals before but the quality was so much better and it's just who I am.

Welcome from North Carolina.
I used to have dairy goats but gave them up because they were so time consuming. I have to work full time so milking twice a day, heating the milk, etc. got to be a headache. Meat goats just work better with my lifestyle. It's so good to see a family homesteading on one acre. It just proves that it can be done. Good luck with all your endeavors.

Thank you. We are actively looking a new place now because we enjoy it so much and would like to do more.
