Barnprincess
Chillin' with the herd
Hi all,
I am a small hobby farmer in Southside Virginia. We bought a 50 acre farm so I could expand my very small sheep breeding business. I raise miniature sheep. I also have a Tennessee Walking Horse that I ride and we have a beautiful molly mule for my husband to ride. I have 4 donkeys, one pair of nigerian dwarf goats and one pair of pygmy goats. Our most recent addition is a calf "donated" to us from a neighbor.
We have livestock guardian dogs that watch over the sheep and about 11 barn cats that keep us mouse and rat free.
I also raise ringneck doves just for fun. I love to hear them coo and laugh.
In the house I have 4 cats, 2 Newfoundlands and on mutt.
You might say I love animals - more than people actually I am a retired lawyer and very active in my church. My husband works in Houston and flies home on weekends. He has to work to pay for all the feed, vet and farrier bills
We are very blessed. Looking to add maybe chickens and pigs next. Looking forward to chatting with all. You can see pictures of all my animals and the farm on my web site.
