My name is Heather.
I am recently married, October 29th 2011.
My husband and I have two beautiful fur babies that are in the house, Dixie (4.5 year old daschund) & Twister (2 year old blue heeler); we also have Freckles (1.5 year old red heeler) & Kitty (5 year old Walker Coonhound) who live outside.
My in laws have had cows for 30+ years and I kinda just married into it... but I have to admit- I LOVE IT! Just don't tell my father in law
We currently have 30+ beef cows and have decided to get a few Holstein bottle calves. We got our first batch of calves (4) Saturday night.
We are new to this area of cattle farming, so thankfully we have great friends who have been doing it for years!
I am hoping that this forum will help with any questions that may arise as we venture out on this exciting journey.
Please let me know if ya'll have any advice or help for us, as we are open to any & all suggestions.
