I am a new goat owner. I had a doeling bred on November 8th. I kept a close eye on her and checked her on November 25th thru the 29th. She showed no sign of coming into heat. Today she is flagging and her vulva is swollen. What are your thoughts

Sounds to me like she might be in heat. Are her characteristics the same as previous heat cycles? My girl is very quiet in her cycle, I only know because my whether rides her during her heat cycle. I am having a blood pregnancy test done to be sure.

Since you said Help! in your title, I'm wondering if there's more to this question? Did you want her to be bred or do you not want her to be bred? You stated doeling so I'm thinking young... :/

Sounds in heat to me ... My doe showed the same signs of being in heat a few days ago ..

I took her to be bred and left her at the breeders. She got out of the pen and got into the buck pen with 4 bucks all different breeds. So I am glad she is not bred, but my concern is the she or I missed her cycle.
