:frow Hi i'm SheepyClo! On BYC i'm ChickenClo! I'm moving to Georgia soon and will be getting a Lacy Roundhead Cock Roosters and about five hens. I want to get two goats and a sheep! Anything I should know about goats and sheep? Do they have to have a friend, like ducks do, so they don't get lonely? :hugs What kind of food do you recomend? :pop How should I put them up at night? Etc. Thank you!

Goats definitely need a friend.

There is a lot to know about goats...take the time to read the multitude of posts on this site...you should find most if not all useful.

My recommendation for food is one that is specifically formulated for goats. And don't forget a loose mineral formulated for goats too. And then there is the hay.

And goats and sheep have different requirements. What's good for goats can kill a sheep.

Okay thank you. Do goats by any chance eat grass? And do sheep need friends?

As a herd animal I would say that sheep need a friend. I don't have sheep...

Your goats are not likely to be as interested in the grass as they would be weeds, bushes and trees (browse).
