Hi there. I found this site through backyardchickens forum. We have just rescued a older Arabian. We don't believe she was fed for months. She was severly malnourished. We've currently got her at a wonderful barn with great people. The head training said he'd never seen horse that bad that was not dead. She's gained (we guesstimate) around 80 pounds. She got a long way to go. Her coat is shiny now and she getting really spunky. I know almost nothing about horses. I'm here to learn. Eventually we plan to bring her home. I've got 7 acres. They are fully wooded not farm land. I've cleared a 1/2 acre in the last month. I'll clear another acre before I start building the barn. Any help??
