Hi, I'm jennifer or Kyoko900 from BYC.
I live in the mountains of Haywood county, western NC.
My grandmother had a small farm back when she lived here and i've lived in the house all my 21 years of life.
I started off with chickens in 2009-2010, Along with our cats and dogs.
Then we (my parents) decided we had the barn so we wanted a goat for milk and to take care of weeds. So we took a trip to the animal auction house and were just going to get one goat, by dad fell in love with a little male goat and mother loved a little girl...so we got two goats. When we went to TSC to get food and i fell in love with a cream colored cashmere goat for sell on the board. That led to a hour trip to get her. So now we have three goats.
We're even thinking of getting a cow or something down the road.
We decided we needed a name for the farm, well we have a creek that goes between the barn and house in a deep cut of the mountain, we have a foot bridge over it, that is white now with frost...so we're now White Water farms.(not officially yet)
Please guide these newbie goat owners/farmers.
