Hi. New to this site but need some advice:)

Alright so I plan to get some goats maybe probably next spring or so. I was wondering if anyone had a complete guide to what to buy, how to care for, health issues, diseases, shelter..... You probably get the picture. I need to learn all I can because I want to do all that I can to care for and have the proper setup and shelter and also are there any good books to buy.

I am thinking about I think they are Nubian Dwarf or Minis. Prob have the name wrong.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and welcome. Oh and these are strictly PETS. Although I have heard that the Boer (sp) are nice pets as well.

You can do searches and read the stickies on this site as well - some people have made lengthy posts about medicines, feed, play etc.

I agrre with the other posts. Also it always helps to find someone in your area that raises goats. Most goat people are happy to help and show you their farm and setup then pick their brains ask questions no question is ever stupid as long as you learn something. When we first got into goats I sat down at the computer for days and went thru page after page of goat info printed off stuff that I thought we might need sometime. Now I have a 3 inch binder at my finger tips full of info. Goat world is a helpful site has a lot of links to other places too
