Okay, I've been trying to figure this out...

I have a 17 year old horse (or so the owner said) and his papers only says that he is 13. I'm pretty sure that those are his papers because the markings are just right. His teeth are pretty big, and he just looks older.

Any suggestions?

What papers? If they are registration papers, then I would believe them? If the papers are a previous coggins, I would tend towards the owner. The coggins would only have age as reported by the owner.

How long did the owner have him?
