We are getting ready to build some pens. We are going to get goats, but there's already plenty of info on that. So Any info on proper housing, including shelter, and size and material of of pens for pigs, cows, horses, sheep and donkeys.

Thank you!

I was searching the forum under different headings...
Found this under "everything Else Pigs"
http://www.backyardherds.com/threads/show-me-your-pig-pens-houses-set-ups.14420

You could try a search for each kind of animal.

I didn't see much there but... friends of ours raise 2-3 pigs a year.
They have a 3 sided shelter plenty big as the pigs get up to 350 lbs each at slaughter time. They used hog panels and a larger area for the pen to open into they used heavy electric wire.

I recently built a Hawg Hut for our feeder pigs. http://www.backyardherds.com/threads/hawg-hut-or-goat-or-sheep-or-dhs-new-digs.32088/

And i built a hoop coop for the chickens http://www.theeasygarden.com/threads/hoop-coop.18291/

Fixing to get started on a barn 36'x36' for the horses, 12'x12' stalls with a 12' runway down the middle. It will have 6 stalls, one of which will be enclosed for a feed/tack room. Also starting on a lean to off the side of a portable building. The building is 24' long, the lean to will go out 20' for the sheep.

Your welcome :)
I am going to ask my friend to send some pics... the way they set theirs up made it easy to feed from the back of the shelter... they stayed clean and headed off to work easily.
