The subject says it all! I know we are selenium deficient here in Southern NH, but how can I find out the copper levels? I've been googling and can't seem to find the answer!

Thanks!

Our county extension office through the University of Tennessee provides the containers & detailed instructions on doing soil samples. This is the only sure fire way to know exactly what your farm is deficient in. They will give the results & recommendations in a report that you can take to your local Farmer's CO-OP and they will custom mix what you need for your particular farm. The testing is only a small fee. You might also check with your local soil conservation association for help. Good luck!

Under 0.5mg of selenium per kilogram of soil is considered deficient. Over 3mg is toxic to goats. Goats require 0.2mg (ppm). Actually, I am not sure on the copper though but because so many things can impact how it is absorbed, I am not sure if there is a way to say whether having low content in the soil means anything.
