So I got 2 8 week old pygmy kids to go with my other pygmies they have been here 4 days but are not even warming up to me at all the black one will let me pet it while it is eating but if I stand up they FREAK OUT like crazy people any advise? My first doe was like that but she quickly got used to me because my buck was a bottle baby and loved me and she followed him and found out that I was not gonna hurt her but the youngins stay away from the big goats so I don't know what to do help please.

Just keep working on them while they're eating. They'll come around and be more friendly, just have patience :)

Patience, patience, patience. It just takes time to get them to warm up and realize you aren't going to eat them. Let them come to you on their own. And they will.

Ditto what they said above.

When I brought home my two Nigis (also at 8 weeks old) they wouldn't let me near them. It took me a week and a half of daily working with them before one of them let me touch her and two weeks before the other one did. It only took a few days after that before they were both in my lap (literally) all the time. Now I can't get rid of them. ;) (Which I love. :D)

Use treats to help you. Also, just sit near them and eat your own food being ready to share if they come up to you. Work around them, moving slowly and talking to them but not at them. Just sit near them and ignore them. Even if they come up to sniff you, don't reach for them for a day or two... let them do it on their terms. They are young enough that they will come around and be your best buddies in no time.

All they need is time, slow movements and lots of treats. The way to tame any animal is to first show it you are not a threat, then feed it. Love will come after. ;)

Animal crackers, Apple and Oat treats (for horses). I made friends with adult goats in a very short time with apple and oat treats (get at Tractor Supply). Although I had a pair of Pygmies that were about the same age that made me work about a month to get them to warm up. I actually had to hold them while they ate. It took some time but what good is a Pygmy that doesn't like people?

We just got two young goats about six weeks ago. The one was very skittish but now she loves to be scratched at the top of her shoulders. I would put some of their grain in my hands and let them eat some from my hands. I moved slow and talked quietly.
