I am going to be getting a breeding pair maybe a trio of dutch rabbits. one buck and 2 does for now. I am raising for show rabbits. So I am wonder how many cages would or do you have in your rabbitry. I know meat rabbitrys are diffrent then show but I know we have both here. Right now I have 4 3 for the dutch's and one for my flemish giant lilly. I am thinking I will need around 10 to start out but I just wanted to get some thought.

Having 2x the number cages as does is a good general rule of thumb. :)
So if there's 2 does and 1 buck, a minimum of 5 cages.

Raising dutch for show you are lucky. You can cull right from the nestbox the moment they're born if you have the stomach for it.

You can immediately remove serious mis-marks, and disqualifications. That allows the remaining kits more of the does attention.

I run on 30 holes, and it can fill up quickly. You'd be surprised how many cages you can utilize. If you're really looking to show remember:

Cull hard!
