We have 4 goats and 1 sheep. 3 of the goats are pregnant, the other goat is a buck, and the sheep is a non-pregnant ewe. We went and got our animals a BIG mineral block for sheep and goat at TSC and within 2 days they had eaten the whole thing! 2 days later we bought them another, same thing happened. Our buck had been feeling poorly but after getting the blocks, he's doing better. So.. how much mineral is too much for our animals? What's a cheaper way to give minerals to sheep and goats? The does had loose minerals added to their feed before this.

You can never really over give, when you get too much salt, do you keep eatting it? I have just goats, no sheep so I don't know whats better for you, but there is a blue tub at Southern States, if there is one in your area, thats for goats & sheeps. My mother in law uses it. They may just need those supplements. I have to go get my goats another, I just put one in a couple weeks ago with just plain white salt for them and its all gone!! We put it in a feeder and they come and go when they need it ...
