I milked my first goat today! I went to auto zone and got a brake bleeding vacuum pump kit. It didn't take more that 5 psi and I didn't keep the pressure constant. It sucked her teat down a little but way less than mine did when I was using a breast pump with my daughter. It came with everything I needed except for a 6 cc syringe. I'm going to have to get a Ball jar ready for a larger milking container. The pump came with a 120 ml bottle. I am afraid to take too much right now since she still has a very little one nursing. I was thinking about increasing how much I take a little at a time so it would increase her output without depriving her baby. It is in a bucket of ice water cooling in the fridge right now. I can't wait to drink it! :celebrate

I want to know how a brake bleeding vacuum pump kit milked your goat! Can you take a picture or explaine? I looked it up but didn't see how that would attatch to the goat....

It comes with all the tubing and a 120 cc cup with airtight lid. I used one of the adapters to attach a 6 cc syringes that fits over her teat. I'm on my way to work right now but will take pics tomorrow when I milk her again. There are videos on YouTube of other ppl that have made them.

that is SOOOO awesome! Congratulations!

You can see the 6CC syringe on the end. It fits nicely over her teat. That is the only thing that didn't come with the kit.

So, after a couple months of milking I've found I prefer hand milking. :/
