I have a new showmanship rabbit now. He is a Netherland Dwarf. I'm not sure of his age, but i know he is younger than a year old. He is supposedly a broken black, but he has some lighter coloring around his ears that makes me think he has some otter in there somewhere. He is a charlie and only has a partial butterfly, but he's my showmanship rabbit, so I don't really care about that. His parents have nice pedigrees, but I haven't seen his yet. It will be coming in the mail.

I'm used to raising my Champagnes and Californians, so this should be a rather interesting experience. He is so tiny, I'm afraid I'm going to crush him after handling meat rabbits for so long. I can hold him in the palm of my hand.

I've heard that Netherlands have problems with wire cages. Is this true. I was planning on keeping as a house rabbit so he will be on pine bedding, but he may end up outside eventually.

I'm so excited. He is adorable and extremely easy to handle. The mini rex I was looking at had two legs and was absolutely gorgeous, but he bit me when I went to pick him up. It may have just been stress, but that was my deciding factor when i picked my showmanship rabbit.

My big champagnes were just too big for me to handle. This guy is so easy and he transports better as well.

I'll post Pictures when I can. My camera is charging now, so prabably tonight.
