I would suggest Miss P's butter, buttermilk and yogurt receipes for starters. She has some cheese receipes to. Cheese is a bit more work but, she simplifies it.

You can use the buttermilk to make biscuits, pancakes, and many other great receipes. Add fruit to the yogurt and it's a great snack or addition to breakfast.

My family doesn't eat all that much cheese. :p Do you have any idea how much milk a Beltie gives? That would help me do my research.

No clue to how much milk a beltie gives but, remember you will be sharing with the calf. All you will have to milk out is what you need for your use.

Really? That's fantastic! :weee That just made my day! :D
Yes. Remember you will need to leave for the calf too. For yogurt, butter, and whatever else you need a couple cups a day maybe enough. It just depends on your family and their usage. You should milk her once a day or her production will be geared for the calf's needs only.
