Tinkerbelle is BRED!!!! Have been rying to catch that heifer in heat forever. She's 22 months old. Had a guy here today helping me clean the barn and I was down there all day. She kept trying to get into the barn and was very friendly and wanted petting today. When I rubbed her butt she lifted her tail and peed. A lightbulb went off in my head and I ran inside and called the AI guy. He came right over. The deed is done. She's been bred to a jersey bull who has calving ease. Could not believe how cheap it was, $10 for the semen and $10 for process. Now the waiting game to see if it "took". Watching for the bleed off and hopefully no heat in 3 weeks. If all goes well I'll know in 45 days.

Wow! That is awesome! Congrats! And fingers crossed that she took :)
I am awaiting a new calf myself any time now. Maggie, my jersey, has been torturing me for a week now with false labor. Then the hussy will go back to grazing and chewing her cud and begging for alfalfa :gig Think she has decided to milk this situation for everything it is worth.

Thanks everyone! I still can't believe I caught her in heat. The AI guy told me it should be easier to catch her in heat after the first calf. This will be our first calf born here, and with luck Tinkerbelle conceived and will be our family milk cow.
