Does anyone have fresh pics of the innards of a butchered hog, guts, organs and all? One from a bled out hog and not a wild shot, bloody picture?
I found something in my hog I can't ID and I didn't take any pics of it. I'm thinking pancreas, but not sure. It was white/clear jelly, kind of looked like a brain, with all those folds in it, size of a softball, fairly round.

I can't find anything online that is any help at all. Most is of the heart and lungs, this was found down near the back end of the hog.

Boar.
I found the bladder, it was slightly full. Found the testicles, liver, kidneys, heart, lungs, small and large intestines, I'm missing something. This was right at the back, first thing that I saw when I cut into him from next to the willy down wards.

Ewww, those pics are more gross than fresh bloody ones!
But no, I didn't see what I saw before. I really thought 'jellyfish, brain', but of course, that makes no sense.

Yes, but at least it was gross pig pictures and not human pigs being gross!:D (I'm finding that I have better luck doing searches if I use the term 'swine' instead of 'pig'). I'm going to ask my butcher guy next time I see him in the hardware store--this is bugging me! Could it have anything to do with the reproductive organs? After my sow was bred the first time, I found a hard, jelly-like substance on the ground and found that it is a 'plug' that's ejaculated at the end to keep the sperm where they're planted. (Think his first planting was in the wrong orifice.) But it doesn't seem as though it would be floating around in the body cavity.

The males have an organ that secretes a thick mucus with the ejaculate to form a "glue block" behind it so other males can't fertilize the same sow. kidney bean/brain shaped. Full of slimy sticky jelly stuff.
