My 4 YO togg doe has always been the boss of the herd. She has always been pushy toward the rest, but not mean.

I have a dog kennel panel as a divider between stalls, but the door is open. One of the hay feeders is hung on this chainlink divider so they can access hay from both sides...

Lately she has been head butting the chainlink panel sooo hard that it is curved. Not to mention she has a callous on her head and no hair there.

I don't usually see her doing it, but she has gray coloring on her head from the panel:(

There are 4 different areas to get hay....

There are 4 adults and 6 kids in the area which is about 22x20 with 24hr access to their yard.

I don't get it:( what makes them ram things all of a sudden? She must be upset about something....hmmm

I vote beotch - but only because I have a beotch myself. She'll be getting rehomed in the not too near enough future. She doesn't necessarily ram things, yet anway - just other goats.

Jasmine isn't ramming other goats, just the divider. She's really sweet otherwise. The others know she's in charge and don't challenge her.

Maybe she wants the divider gone:/

My guess is she just doens't like the divider...sometimes goats are like that, they just decide they want something gone or they want to be on the other side of something and they just push down what ever is in their way...

Anyway you could just remove the divider? :hu

Be careful! If she get's her way with the divider you may never be able to win a battle! If you want the divider there, and she's not actually harming herself (sounds like she's built up a good calus) I say let her beat her head against it. Like a spoiled kid always wanting there way, goats are.

I had a horned buck take a similar dislike to a hay feeder. He broke it to splinters in a few weeks. He got really mean too, so I broke him into hamburger meat.

As long as she's not being aggressive to people, other goats, or being unbearably destructive, I'd just let her do it. Maybe she's getting some kind of amusement from it? Maybe she'd like a toy of some kind.

I've decided recently to butcher my super mean to the others doe. She is sweet, when you can catch her. But between her being mean to the others, bad genetics, and wildness... It's time to bring out the barbeque once I get preg tests back making sure she isn't preggo.

She's destroying the kennel panel. I guess I should take it down until kidding season. It's a 10 footer...not easy to manuever. She has a jolly ball to play with. and stuff to climb, but I never see her play.

She'll probably just smash it again when you put it back up. Any chance you can electrify it? Run a strand or three across where she smashes into it... betcha she leaves it alone.
