M y goats have been out in the pasture for hours at a time - could too much be a bad thing?

Too much fresh spring pasture or too much wet pasture or too much of one type of green can sometimes cause problems.

My goats are on pasture 100% of the time from late spring to late fall - no problems.

Thanks, there's different greens and I waited til it was dry out there, so I guess they are OK - they look FAT

The biggest factor in fully answering the question is "What is the make up of the pasture?"

True as there are definitely some problematic plants out there for goats. If you're unsure what certain plants are, pull them up root and all and take to your counties extension agent and they can help you identify...some of them will visit your farm too.
