Iver-on pour on

Question does anyone use this for worming their goats? i was reading where it says to give this orally just wanted to see if it was safe if not what would ya all recommend thank you!!

Active Ingredient(s):ivermectin 1% (injectable) ivermectin 0.5% (pour-on)
Availability:OTC
Withdrawal:35 days before slaughter
Indications:Control of internal and external parasites
Dosage:1ml per 110 lbs. SQ (injectable) 1ml per 22 lbs. applied topically (pour-on)
Goat Notes:Give all avermectin wormers orally. 1% Injectable 1ml per 50lbs; 0.5% pour on 1ml per 10 lbs.

Ivomec orally was the dewormer of choice few yrs ago for our goats, but now in East Tennessee the internal parasites are resistant so we have made the switch to Cydectin Pour-On given orally. We also use Valbazen for non-lactating/ open does and bucks (this stuff can cause spontaneous abortions or birth defects especially in the 1st 45 days of pregnancy).

So do ya think it is safe to give the poor on of iver-on orally then thank u!!!

I read where it says a lot of people give the injection kind orally and then i have read where people give the pour on type orally some people say u should not give the pour on type orally

I used the pour-on as an oral drench for years and always had good results until the parasites started showing resistance to Ivermectin.

...and before someone tries to link parasite resistance with giving a pour-on orally, there's absolutely no correlation whatsoever. Chemically/ physically impossible.
