I'm not very good at it yet! There are some people on here who make me look pretty pathetic at it!
But you are on your way. Practice makes perfect and even the best artist drew a stick man at some stage of their lives. Lol

Nice looking scroll work!! I can't stand those Adirondack chairs tho--too low to the ground and hard to get up out of, tho my brother does have a couple of really big ones at his beach place that are ok. I do some woodwork, most recently whirlygigs.

Thank you. I have purchased a scroll saw a while ago, but struggle using it due to my CTS condition. Removing and threading the blade is a real bummer. The jig saw is simple and handy. Just requires a lot more support on thin workpieces. I love your whirligigs. Colorful and beautiful.

Thank you.
I have made some that did more than just whirl in the wind--a woodchopper than swung an ax, a girl that pumped a hand pump and a mule that kicked it's master, but the linkage required to change from rotary to reciprocating motion doesn't stand up to the almost constant SW wind we have here.
A little lubricant every 6-12 months on the shafts of the wings of the ones I posted here and they will last for years. And I have made them using a jig saw, but when I get started making them, I now make a single one, use it for a pattern and just shape them with my table router now, 2-3 parts at one time. I have given dozens away as gifts.

Wow! You guys create amazing things!
I have a jigsaw (or three) but use it mostly for it intended purposes. I might need to look into doing more creative things :D =D

Awesome. You have just given me a new idea. I just need to expand my workspace significantly. If I turn around too fast....I am confronted by myself. Lol

I did the same thing! I felt like I should know what it was so i didn't ask.

I have a pinched nerve in my elbow and my fingers work... Sometimes... It's not fun. But not as bad as what you have to deal with I am sure.

Hahaha. I love your sense of humor.
carpal tunnel syndrome
kɑːplˈtʌnlsɪndrəʊm/
noun
  1. a painful condition of the hand and fingers caused by compression of a major nerve where it passes over the carpal bones through a passage at the front of the wrist. It may be caused by continual repetitive movements or by fluid retention.
Your search results sound a whole lot better. Lol

You could have asked. Lol.
I have trouble sleeping most nights due to the burning sensation and when I'm awake I have an almost constant pins and needles sensation. Even holding a knife or fork whilst eating is a challenge. Lol. I usually drop one. Cannot feel if I'm still holding it or not. So....working with power tools provides me with an adrenaline rush...... It's like playing my own version of Fear Factor. Hahaha
