Just got a goat

So I just got a goat that I saved from being eaten by foreigners at the auction. I couldn't help not saving it cause it's a girl! She's a pygmy for sure, I don't know if she's crossed or not. I need to give her a bath and I was wondering if I can use dog flea soap since it seems her coat isn't the greatest and I've seen fleas. He lil horns are about 1.5" long and she's not real big, probably a foot tall. Anyone have any idea how old she could be? I'll get a pic soon. Thanks!

I have used dog shampoo on my goats but not the flea kind, also used some mane and tail spray for one that got into briers. Sure will make the little one smell good. Goats sure do hate water LOL

Goats don't get fleas. More likely it has mites. You can bathe it with any kind of non medicated shampoo...treat the external parasites with Ivermec/Cylence.

thanks...I've never seen mites, they must look alot like fleas though, cause unfortunately I definately know what fleas look like. I'll try that, just want to make sure, goats are a lil delicate it seems..
