I shaved down a three month old buckling on Sunday and found a weird bump on his side, over the ribs. It does not feel like CL, but is squishy like it is full of water. It has gotten a little bigger since I found it. It is about the size of a quarter. He has not had a shot there ever, so it is not from that. Any ideas on what it might be? I can't get it to show up in a photo at all, or I would share one.

Well, I managed to hold him down and stick a needle in it today to see what was in there. I pulled out some of the fluid, and it looks like pretty much pure blood. So, it's probably a haematoma or something like that, my guess would be that the bucklings were playing too rough, and this one being the smallest, took a really hard hit. I don't feel any broken ribs under it, so he should probably be fine.

Me too, this poor little guy has had a rough life. Born 2 weeks early, his brother died at less than 48 hours old, he's been through worms, and lice, and just about everything. We rescued his mom when she was 4 months pregnant and so starved she was nearly dead, this kid was barely 2 pounds at birth. We sure don't need another buck lol, but we've gotten so attached to him after he has pulled through all this!
