After I built my first cages with poop chutes I would never be without them. They make clean up so easy. If you build them at a steep angle like the one on the right they are self cleaning. A less steeply inclined one like at the left will need a quick scrape down once a day but it's still easier than cleaning trays. They put the poop and urine right into a bin that is easily emptied for garden use or composting. Mine are hanging on hooks so they are easily removed for hosing down. These are built with hardboard bottoms but when they give out I intend to replace the hardboard with flat plastic panels such as are sold for use in bathrooms.

That's a neat set-up. I've thought about doing something like that, but my bunny barn/shed isn't that big, and I wasn't sure where to start.
