Lily's kids are almost a month old. Everyone is doing great, but the little buck is still tiny. He has been bottle raised, is eating hay and grain like his siblings, but looks quite different. Not only is he smaller, but he has tiny legs and feet and his coat is still fluffy like a new born. What's up??? Will he always be tiny? Has anyone ever seen this before?

How much smaller was he when he was born? If he was significantly smaller then there probably was some sort of placental detachment and he just didn't get the nourishment the other 2 did. He may remain very small. I would be slow to wether him if that is what you are going to do. Also, ones that are smaller to begin with take much longer to grow than the regular size ones. All are very cute though.

He was 2lb at birth. The other two were a few oz over 31/2lbs. I was planning on wethering him because he would make a great pet and based on his development at the moment think he shouldn't be bred. The placenta would make sense, I keep thinking he wasn't "cooked" all the way, but didn't look like a preemie would just "stunted". He is so sweet, you can't help but love him.:D

He's freakin adorable and I'd love to have one that looked just like him!
