Chillin' with the herd
I am a newbie with breeding Lionheads. This week my doe had kits..6. My question is this. My doe is a chestnut, the buck is a vienna marked tort otter. What colors can I expect the kits to be?

Some of the babies may be Vienna marked, since the sire is. He is also expressing several recessive color genes. If the doe is a Chestnut, all of the color genes that she is expressing are dominant genes, so unless you have her pedigree (or have seen her parents, and they aren't Chestnuts) you can't know what recessives she may be carrying. You could get just about anything, though more Chestnuts seem to be the best bet.
