I bred all my adult does in October and I have one doe (she gave me quads last year) is acting just *SLIGHTLY* off, no scours, eating drinking pooping peeing everything fine. But when I let them out to graze she'll hang back just a little from the others and isn't quite as "greedy" for food as she usually is. I'm wondering if I need to do anything or if she is just getting heavy and tired of her belly getting bigger. She is UTD on her CD&T and was de-wormed last February & March. I also trimmed their hooves recently and I guess I should check and make sure I didn't get one of hers too short. Do ya'll think I should give her some B vitamins? I'm just paranoid with all these cocci threads I've been seeing!

I have one acting the same way. this is my first kidding so I don't know if it normal. she is eating just not as vigorously and moving a little bit slower. I figure she is just pregnant but if I see and more changes I might start testing her for keytones. i also ordered a cmpk just in case. I also plan on giving her CDT booster, and bose, b-complex in a couple of weeks. she is due 1/29

You know your goats better than anyone on here. B vitamins wouldn't hurt, they give energy and increase appetite and offer some immune system boost. Definitely check her hooves to make sure she's not just having a problem walking though.

Remember that parasites can go from 0 to bad in 4 days, so a deworming months ago really has no bearing on the here and now. I would get a fecal just to be safe if I were in your shoes. I don't know what your weather is like where you are but we're having prime parasite flourishing weather here.

We don't really have a problem with worms here, we are pretty much dry lotted except when I let them out to free-range, and we just had freezing temps last week.

Freezing temps must be sustained and last for while (a couple of weeks I believe) to kill off barberpole eggs / larvae

Did you give her B vitamins? Any improvement?

Just gave her some today. Will see how she is tomorrow when I let them out to free-range. :) She is eating the alfalfa like crazy, I'm thinking she must just be tired from her body getting heavier.

One of my girls is acting a bit more sluggish lately as well. She had triplets last year and is the size now that she was when she kidded the triplets. I agree with you, She may just be feeling her pregnancy.
