Missing Tooth

Yesterday my husband told me that our bun is missing a bottom tooth. Sure enough, it's gone! We let him wander the fenced yard during the day so he had freedom to chew on things. I have no clue how he managed to lose the tooth. My question is, will it grow back? I know the top teeth keep growing and sometimes need to be trimmed. Do the bottoms do the same? And if so, will it still grow when it looks like the whole dang thing has been pulled out?

I have no idea on if it will grow back or not, but, since there is now not a surface for the top one to touch, you need to keep an eye on that top tooth so that it does not overgrow and mess up his bite.
