Loving the herd life
After looking on http://albc-usa.org/cpl/wtchlist.html I desided to go with Navajo-Churros. I wanted a breed with lots color, that I could use for handspining. I'd like to build a nice sized flock of diffrent blood lines so that I could sale breeding stock. As well as for meat. I thought about shetland or icelandtic, but the Navajos are an American breed and some what rare/uncommon. And thats what I want to focus on for all of our homestead livestock.
I haven't gotten any yet. I talked to one lady in TX about getting some lambs in 2013 http://www.agaritacreek.com/Ranch/navajo-story.aspx And I just found a listing on craigeslist from someone here in OK that I'm going to e-mail right after I post this...I hardly ever do just one thing. lol
Anyone have these sheep? Or a fan of them? If so I'd love you to share your thought and maybe even pics.
