Need a nearby vet....Allegheny County PA anyone?

I've been a goat owner for over a month now and I still don't have a nearby vet! The 2 does seem realky healthy, but should something change, I can't drive 2 hours north necesssrily.
Anyone know of a vet in Western PA in Allegheny or nearby counties? I'm near Butler & Beaver counties as well.

Kittanning Veterinary Hospital is in Kittanning. I use them and have been very happy with their large animal vets. You can take you goats to them, or they come to you, although I don't know how far they travel.
If their office isn't convenient for you, you might call them and see who they would recommend in your area.

Sometimes it is easier to find a knowledgeable goat owner than a vet that knows anything about goats!!! Thankfully I have an "old time farm vet" who is a god send plus I have learned soooo much and take care of most non traumatic stuff by myself!! Good luck in finding something. Thanks Goatherd, that's good to know. Kittanning is close enough to me (half an hour) to make that worthwhile. I'll take my doe for a checkup after she's been bred so I can meet the staff.
Thanks, Thorny Ridgell, should visit more vveteran goat owners too, I know. My breeder is two hours' drive.

Yes Catahoula, the world is very small...too small for me at times! Nice to meet you, too. Ask you husband if he is familiar with Rural Valley? That's where I live.

Feathernfiber, I use Dr. Nadarajah from their office. She's a very small woman in stature but quite capable!

ThornyRidgeII, your right about that. Although in this case, these vets deal with farm animals on a daily basis so it's a pleasure going to them and knowing they have the knowledge and experience behind them.

Hi Goatherd, he is not familiar with your area. His dad may though. My father in law lives near Franklin Village or the Kittanning Country Club and came from Ford City.

Hi feathernfiber, You lived in Coal Creek? I have a friend there. She has three dairy goats. We moved to CO from CA. Love the high mountains and also it gave me the opportunity to own goats...
