My TWH Gelding has a HUGE almost bursting sheath. Now he stretches out, but will not pee. He also has colic. I have him some penicillin because there is pus.

I need help asap! How can I clean it?

Call the Vet, RIGHT NOW!! Horse needs some help, and antibiotic is NOT going to be
enough.

Colic could be lots of things. With a swollen sheath, too many things to name could be going
badly. Horse needs some pain relief now, and 5 minutes ago would have been better!!

Get the Vet out as quick as possible to be DOING something, don't ask things like that and
waste time here on the Internet!!

Update!

George went yesterday. It was a BIG one! I'm glad he is finally going again! His sheath is still swollen. :/ Is it a bean?

Have you contacted the vet?

It does sound like he may have a bean, it needs to be removed, and the sheath and surrounding area need to be cleaned and inspected by a vet........esp if there was pus. Is there any way you can get him to a vet?

You can wash the sheath out wtih warm water, stick a finger in there and hunt for the bean, but I really think it would be best to let the vet do it.....I'd imagine he is awful sore.

If what ever is causing this isnt treated, it will come back and comeback worse.
