Just wanted to post an update! The girls seem to be doing better on the bottle. Of course we have our days! Thank you all so much for your support on this topic. I'm sure as I go along on this journey, I'll be reaching out again!
I hope everyone has a great week 😊

Hey there! I know it's been awhile, since I introduced myself to this forum. I need some guidance or suggestions on how to get my two 1 week old babies to except a bottle? I've tried everything I can think of. So, I was hoping maybe someone on here might have other suggestions to try. I have researched and watched videos, but I'm still having a semi hard time!
Thank you in advance for any information!

I’ve heard that dipping the nipple in a little bit of sugar helps sometimes, but I’ve never raised bottle babies so I don’t really know if it works.

Nipple makes a difference....what are you using? Hard to switch from mom. But -- I get on my knees, back babe between my legs, bend over them some, hold mouth in left hand, place nipple in their mouth, holding bottle with right hand.

Another thing...what are you feeding them? If a replacer be sure it's an all milk. Taste of mom is far better. You have a goat in milk? Use that to feed, it's the best. If not, anyone near to buy milk from? Good luck, you've got a hard switch. 😟

How are they doing?

I'm using a replacer. I don't have a mom available, I have asked around for fresh goat's milk, still waiting for feed back. Thank you for the advice! And the nipples are from TSC, for kids. Tried using a regular baby bottle but they had a hard time with that one.Again thank you!

Yeah, baby bottle nipples aren't as long. 😁

Getting them on bottle from first is easier...colostrum and all....as in a dairy where they rarely nurse other than a bottle. I've had a few times that I've bottled a newborn for a day or two, supplement, etc, but try to dam raise, even with my milker does. I milk share and take full milking once weaning happens.

We love pics. Feel free to share😊

It's hard to switch once they've been nursing mom, but not impossible. You just have to hold their head with your hand use two fingers to pry their mouth open and put the nipple in their mouth. Enough tries and if they are hungry enough, they will usually get it.
But, you do have to force the issue.
