Need to deworm Cissy, Help me out here

I need to deworm Cissy and Mione today. I can't get to the store to get Safeguard (not that I think it would help *prime* them for anything anyway since all I can get is the horse paste). I usually inject Ivermectin, can I just give them an injection of the ivermectin and follow up in however many days with an oral dose.

I always oral dose ivomec at 1ml/50# of goat. I'm not sure about injecting then following up with oral. Do you have a problem with worms right now?

Unless Ivomec just works phenominally well on your worms and she's bad bad -- like, totally whited out -- I'd probably just go on and hit her orally with Ivomec injectable.. I use it about 1ml/25lbs, but that's me...you may very well see results at a lower dosage of maybe 3ml/100lbs or 1ml/50lbs like glenolam suggested, provided you've not used the crap out of it in the past.

The "white wormer + red cell -> clear wormer" suggestion is typically given in cases where they're pretty much teetering on the brink of death and you're pretty sure they're gonna bleed out if you kill everything en masse.

Somehow, I doubt that's the situation here.

ohhh shhhh! i just had to straddle a freight train of a pygmy goat and shove a syringe in her mouth. not fun. i gave them both 1.5mls.

if it doesn't work as well i'll up the dose from there. no biggie
