Hello to everybody.
We live in the triad area of North Carolina and are just starting out raising rabbits.
We now have 13 hens and Junior, our Rooster. That is down from 80 hens and roos a year and a half ago.

I'm really looking forward to being a member of the group. I've been a member of a chicken flock group and learned a lot through the years.
I retired 3 years ago from long haul trucking and love having a garden and chickens again. I hope to have the same success with rabbits.
Here's to learning the meat rabbit farming.

Welcome also. I like the other sister site Sufficient Self... also. If you were an over the road trucker, I imagine you have some fairly conservative thoughts and values and have seen too much of what is happening to this country. There are a couple of threads you can check out too, "shortages" is one several of us get on and talk about how things are trending.
Please go to your name upper right, click down to account details, and location and put in something like the triad area of NC... helps us to "identify" people and their general area of where they are "doing their thing". Also helps to find people with similar weather and such...
I am a couple hours north of you... went to have my ankle replacement at Duke in Raleigh in Feb 2020....
I don't have rabbits, but most all other farm animals... you can follow some of us in our "threads" or journals and see how crazy we all are!!!!!

Welcome to the forum!

I have a bunch of cousins that used to be in trucking.

It must be nice for you, as well as a huge change, to now be in one spot.

Rabbits are excellent meat, and incredibly fast to process.
