My DH and I have been working for three or four months now to get a buck house ready. Tonight I put the buck and his wether buddy in for the first time. They were NOT happy about it. I hope they have stopped yelling by now. Still have to do the fence to keep the buck away from the girls but OMG it's so hard to work in this heat. We are not builders, we understand the theory and have lots of family we can ask questions of, but are billing ourselves as The Casual Carpenters. A lot of this stuff you just have to do and then figure out if it works. Sometimes we go back and take it apart and do it differently, sometimes we just adjust our plan,
I keep telling DH "we can have it level, or we can have it flush, but not both!" Also, we say a lot "it's just a goat shed" Anyway, it'll keep them dry and provide some much needed storage space so "it'll do, donkey".

Entrance from the yard side
The goats entrance to their yard, again, not sure why it is sideways
The sleeping platform on the goat side of the shed
This is what happens if you don't get the buck separated in time.
