HI all. I am a new farmer. My family has a flock of 10 chickens we are slowly expanding to 30 for egg laying and we plan this next spring (2015) to introduce 3 bee hives, 50 broilers, and 2 pigs into our farming community.
I am very excited to learn to do as our ancestors did and hopefully become a farm to table household. I only wish I owned enough land for cows and goats.

Baymule is right, come, sit a spell, put your feet up at that yonder fence post and grab that sweet tea. We aren't really nosy, we're just neighborly and like new people.

Dwarf Nigerian goats are really great on a small piece of land. Hint hint hint.

Wecome to BYH from the Great Lone Star State.
