Joyful had her babies yesterday morning! Two big, beautiful, and healthy does. Mom and babies are all strong and doing great!
We’re so thankful that it’s been such a smooth birth, nearly a completely hands off experience. (Besides the iodine umbilical cord dip)

After losing a doe last week because of laboring complications, this was definitely the uplift we needed around here.

Any ideas for naming these girls are welcome! One is stuck to Momma’s side and the other is much more curious and independent! :love

Congratulations on the cute doelings!! :love

What’s the plans for them? Do you prefer a naming trend or can names be anything random?

They are the first kids born on our farm so we don’t have a trend yet necessarily. We’re throwing around a lot of random ideas, but I’ve been leaning more toward a nature theme or trend..
We want one name to be more feminine and the other more tough to kinda match their personalities.

So far we’ve thought about Lily and Laney,
Fern and Sage, Alley and Derby, Petunia and Charlie.. or a mix of any of those lol

Congrats! Lovely doelings. Are they Saanen? I love my Saanens....sweet personalities and a lot of great milk!

Have some Saanen/Nubian mix and they look full Saanen. Seems to be a strong breed for the physical type.. Just bought a young fullblood buck this year, to cross onto my girls who are 50/50.
