I'm a SAHM that runs our hobby farm. We've had a garden since we bought our house and both my husband and myself grew up with a large, family garden. We added chickens about 5 years ago and now breed a few and have a flock of over 50. Then last year we got turkeys for the first time and now have heritage breed birds we plan on breeding for sustainability.
This springs big addition was our first 2 bottle baby goats at just 6 weeks old 😍 My husband has even fallen for them in the three short weeks that we've had them ❤️ Our dogs think they are weird puppies which is always amusing but they tried the goat food and the dogs hated it 😂 was hilarious to watch my husband's doberman attempt to eat hay and then look at the goats like they were nuts.
My husband is already talking about adding a few fiber goats soon and possibly boers for meat in the future.
I added a pic of our babies on the climber I made them. It's now enclosed in their pasture area.

Welcome:welcome. I am not a goat person but there are plenty on here that are so you will find plenty of help and enablers to "get a few more"....

What breed(s) of chickens do you have? Also what breed(s) of turkeys? I have some standard New Hampshires and Langshans but have raised different breeds over the years. Also had some real nice Royal Palm Turkeys that would set and raise their own poults up. Looking to get into my own place again, ( I presently am renting and not "allowed" to have the poultry here) and will get back into more purebreds. The sex-links were the best for the free range layers when I was selling eggs, but not doing that anymore so I am going to indulge in the ones I like. Don't actively show much, but again, hope to do a little more if I can get moved and keep my birds at home.

Son and I have White Texas Dall sheep that he sells the rams to hunting preserves for paid hunts in Pa, and we have beef cattle that we sell weaned feeder calves off of. I also have some jersey and guernsey's that I use as nurse cows and raise calves on. I will be back to milking hopefully this coming fall if my ankle is useable... Just had ankle replacement 2 months ago, so am in the recovery stage..
